AVAX to Your Wallet

AVAX is the base currency of the Avalanche C-Chain network and is necessary for you to transact on the AVAX network.

This is a guide on adding AVAX to your Metamask Wallet. It is a critical first step in being able to transact on the Avalanche C-Chain Network and for buying your GarageSaleIt Nodes and claiming your rewards.

Step 1: Open Your MetaMask Wallet

Open the MetaMask app through your browser extension on your desktop.

Log in to your MetaMask account using your password.

Step 2: Navigate to the Tokens Section

Ensure you are in the Avalanche Network.

For the browser extension, you will already be on the 'Assets' page upon login.

If you are using the mobile version, click on the 'Menu' icon (≡)in the top left corner of the MetaMask app, and then select 'Assets'.

The AVAX token should be displaying.

Step 3: Buy AVAX from an Exchange or Fiat On-Ramp

Select the AVAX Token.

Select ‘Buy’ and follow the procedures to buy AVAX token.

You will probably only need to buy the minimum amount of AVAX available – as it will generally only be used to pay the ‘transaction’ or ‘gas’ fees when a transaction is processed.

Step 4: Confirm Receipt of AVAX to your MetaMask wallet

• Wait for the transaction to be confirmed on the Avalanche blockchain.

This usually takes a few minutes but may vary depending on network congestion.

 You should now see your AVAX balance reflecting the amount you sent.

End Result: You now have AVAX available to use when you transact on the AVAX network.
